🌿 Welcome to Rainbow Ranch Farms
Greetings! I’m Xenia, the proud steward of Rainbow Ranch Farms. Our journey began in 1991, a venture into the California High Desert where, without realizing it, the foundations of our happy, holistic homestead were laid. Surrounded by supportive family members, good friends, and helpful neighbors, we set out to transform bare, dry land into something extraordinary—without GMOs, pesticides, chemicals, or drugs.
I do not buy livestock from auctions, neighbors, or other ranchers. Every animal at Rainbow Ranch Farms is bred and raised by me, from start to finish. These are true heritage animals—not bio‑engineered, modified, or fast‑growing breeds that must be purchased from patent holders, licensed distributors, or hatcheries because they cannot reproduce naturally or require artificial insemination. I even hatch all of my own baby chickens from farm‑fresh eggs, ensuring every generation is healthy, naturally raised, and aligned with my ethical standards. This hands‑on breeding and rearing process allows me to maintain full control over the quality, health, and nutrient density of every animal and egg produced on the farm.
🏡 The Beginning
Picture this: a small home with a wood‑burning stove, no fences, no gates—just endless possibilities awaiting us. At the front of the property stood a weathered, hand‑painted sign proudly declaring “Rainbow Farm”, adorned with a charming rainbow motif.
🌱 Our Story
Here at Rainbow Ranch Farms, our history is woven with threads of community, resilience, and passion. Through trials and triumphs, we’ve built something beautiful from the ground up. Today, we invite you to join us on this grain‑free adventure as we continue cultivating a wholesome, holistic haven that celebrates heritage breeds, nature, sustainability, and the spirit of togetherness—for better health and longevity.
🥚 Our Commitment
Every day at Rainbow Ranch Farms is a testament to our corn‑free, soy‑free, and wheat‑free journey. We bring together like‑minded people and celebrate the vibrant tapestry that makes our vaccine‑free food and holistic homestead truly special.
🌄 An Invitation
Step into Rainbow Ranch Farms, where tradition meets sustainability, and where every sunrise brings new opportunities to explore, connect, and grow together.
Warm regards, Xenia
Rescue Operations — Serving the High Desert
Rainbow Ranch Farms is also a reliable rescue operation serving the High Desert. Over the years, we have extended our care to animals in desperate need, providing medical attention, food, shelter, and lifelong care whenever possible. We often work alongside local charitable pet rescues to ensure the best outcomes for the animals.
More Recently:
-
Two Great Pyrenees Dogs were found dumped in the desert, starving and suffering from lacerations. We treated them, fed them, and helped heal both their bodies and spirits. They have since gone to very good homes.
-
Desiree, the pot-belly pig, was rescued from a dog training operation where she was used as bait. She lost half an ear and all the skin on her back, and suffered knife cuts on every leg joint. We helped heal her wounds, restored her eyesight after treating superficial eye damage, and now she roams the farm happily.
-
Three desert goats were found abandoned and left to coyote predation. One had suffered a severe animal attack and required urgent medical care. Sadly, we could not save her unborn kids, but the other two goats — likely siblings — were starving, underweight, and suffering from muscle loss. Today, all three goats are thriving and “fat and sassy.”
-
Clarabelle, an Indian Game Fowl, escaped her home but was found by caring neighbors who contacted us. Using a trap, she was safely rescued and now lives happily on the farm. The generous neighbors who helped rescue her also made a donation to our rescue operations, for which we are very grateful.
-
A rescued turtle was eventually re-homed with a loving family in Crestline, where she lives in her own pond with other turtle friends, spoiled and happy.
-
Precious, a pregnant cat, gave birth to five kittens while in our care. She also adopted two additional orphaned kittens we rescued. All five kittens found loving homes with farm friends, while Precious and two kittens — Calico and Tuxedo — remain with us.
-
Combo, a desert cat, appears to have been abandoned. He was unharmed, found us quickly, and now thrives on the farm.
We charge a fair re-homing fee for all rescued animals and ensure that they go only to NO-KILL, safe, and loving forever homes when adopted.
We rely on donations to support our rescue operations. Every contribution helps us provide:
-
Non-toxic bedding
-
Heat lamps
-
Hands-on daily care
-
Organic food and hay
Every gift directly aids in the recovery and well-being of animals in need, giving them a second chance at life on a safe, loving farm.
