Food manufacturers often use the claim that processed foods containing barley are a good source of vitamins, minerals,  proteins and fatty oils. Why are so many farmers feeding barley to their livestock? Barley is found in most corn-free poultry and pig feeds, wheat-free and in soy-free feeds too. Barley is also one of those grains that is contaminated with Mycotoxins, and Mycotoxins are treated with ionizing radiation. That does not seem like something I want to eat. It just makes sense that I would not feed this to our livestock either.
